CYCA REVOLUTA
Synonym: Sago Palm.
Plant of tropical origin has a short semi-woody and almost conical trunk similar to a palm tree formed by the base of the petioles. It has both male and female cone-shaped flowers.
It does not need a lot of water, but from spring to autumn it must be fertilized once every 30 days without many fertilizers due to its reduced growth.
It requires drastic pruning and cut yellowing leaves at the base of the trunk. In addition, to improve its appearance, fasteners or straps should be used that direct the extremity of the leaves downwards. The same result can be obtained if the young leaves are repeatedly folded with the fingers.
