BISMARCKIA NOBILIS
Synonym: Bismarck Palm.
Impressive palm tree for its gray-bluish color (glaucous) and for its dimensions. It supports a log with ringed grooves and a slightly convex base. The leaves are lightly covered in white or tan wax. It has cream-colored inflorescences with short branches and ovoid dark brown fruits. It needs sunny positions and ample space for development. Very rustic with respect to the soils. It tolerates periods of drought and dry winds.
It is a palm tree that takes time to recover and is transplanted, because it is recommended to acquire them well rooted in a counter.
